"Laura was in our practice training me to be a Treatment Coordinator for two days. In this time Laura had the ability to impress me as she could answer every question that I asked her about the role. This is because she was a TCO for many years herself. Every aspect of the role was covered in the two days and I am now feeling really confident and looking forward to seeing my new patients."

Every programme is completed in your practice.

What does a treatment coordinator do?

1. Provides new patients (NP) with a free of charge consultation
2. Builds relationships with the NP to a high level
3. Creates a great amount of perceived value in the practice
4. Delivers an outstanding level of customer service
5. Pre-qualifies your NP so they know how much the fee’s associated are.

*This is just the beginning!! Contact Laura to discuss this further!*

N.B. TREATMENT COORDINATORS DO NOT RECOMMEND TREATMENT TO PATIENTS’!

How will a treatment coordinator raise my level of treatment acceptance?

A TCO will pre qualify your patients when they attend a new patient consultation. They overcome any objections the patient may have, as well as showing what you can provide as a practice, and the fees associated with treatment options. This means that NPs that are scheduled in the dentists’ diary for a NP assessment / examination are ready to go ahead with treatment if they are suitable once the clinical examination has been performed.

The benefit for the dentist is that you do not have to wait to find out if the patient can afford treatment. This will have already been confirmed before the clinical assessment.

I wish to train my team in dental photography so I have more time as a clinician. Should I train just my nurses or include my reception team as well?

I firmly believe in the power of a cross trained team. If the reception team have the opportunity to take photographs of your patients then you should train them. Please contact me to discuss how this system can work for your practice.
