I want to suggest how your practice might be currently suffering:

  1. As dentists you are seeing patients for their initial appointments
  2. You cannot offer free of charge consultations as this costs you money
  3. Your patients aren’t wowed with customer service in the practice
  4. You run late and sometimes need to push your patient for a decision
  5. You are spending a huge amount of time placing treatment plans onto your software
  6. You may not be providing consents and estimates as you do not have the time or
  7. You are spending even more time covering yourself medically and legally by taking responsibility yourself for the gathering together of consent and estimate forms
  8. Your treatment plan acceptance rates are low
  9. Your cash flow needs improving
  10. You do not like going over all the payment options with your patients because you feel awkward
  11. You do not use your credit facility as much as you should because you don’t have the time to spend organising the paperwork and checking the application was successful
  12. If a patient’s application for credit is declined you do not have time to follow up the reason so you wave goodbye to that treatment plan
  13. If you have spent time planning a complex case you book the appointments yourself, as you cannot risk any mistakes. Your reception team are busy, and it is hard to communicate with them when they are already under pressure
  14. You cannot build excellent relationships with your patients whilst reviewing MH, completing an exam, explaining further treatment etc
  15. You do not get many (if any) referrals from patient’s friends and family
  16. If you present a case to a patient and they do not book, you do not hear from them again (until they have pain)
  17. You are not in control of your diary schedule
