A great weekend with plenty of tweets
Posted: January 25th, 2010 |Friday and Saturday were spent with some wonderful people (Jan 22/23)
Hosted by Tony and Cally Gedge – The Marketing Pirates of Dentistry, annual Treasure Map event was held in London.
Speakers including Tony and myself were Dr James Russell, Dr Tif Qureshi, Dr Jon Swarbrigg, Guy Levine, Dr Karen Sutton, and Barbara Naisby.
We all had a fantastic time over the two days.
What we all observed was how everyone was so friendly and interactive with each other. This is due to the amount of social networking on Twitter. So many of us were meeting face to face for the first time yet felt like we had known each other a lifetime.
If you would like to see what we were talking about then please click the link below. (I have to admit I forgot to do a #mpod before my tweets for most of Friday!!)

Know exactly where you are coming from Laura. Felt like I was on a blind date putting faces to my twitter friends. The team bonding of mpod would have been a fraction of the actual had it not been for twitter and facebook pre booked relationships. Have to say you were very good at getting your message over , well done !
Hi Laura,
Wasn’t able to make it this year. Will try harder for the next one. However I was involved, as some know, with a local tweet-up of 50-odd business folk in Oxfordshire & they all felt the same way. Most had never met but the room was buzzing with people who felt they were almost old friends AND they all want to repeat the experience next month!
Well, we were learning from the best. Who would have thought to start with the absolute beginning – the hand shake! Excellent presentation and lots of inspiration!!
Thanks Jan – I have to keep everyone awake with the afternoon session!!
